The story of Atulya GB Road
Many women here often believe there is no other life for them.
They are victims of social stigma, shunned by society and believed to be nothing.
The outreach was started to love, serve and befriend these women. Ultimately, the goal is to see them embrace a fresh start in life.
"Oh, that my head were waters,
and mine eyes a fountain of tears,
that I might weep day and night
for the slain of the daughter of my people!"
- Jeremiah, 650 - 570 BC
Our approach
In the heart of GB Road we have a small center which serves as a place of community and friendship. We are developing this to be a drop-in center for women to chat, receive counseling, drink tea, share food, or simply enjoy temporary respite from the brothel scene.
We make regular visits to the women in the brothels, where we sit with them, listen to their stories, and help them to get the medical care they need from local government hospitals or private doctors, with whom we work in partnership.
We Provide...
